In ‘Europe deserves better’, the authors take a closer look at extreme nationalism and study three parties that are expected to win more support in the forthcoming elections to the European Parliament in May 2014 – Hungarian Jobbik, the Dutch Party for Freedom and the Danish People’s Party. By describing their history, achievements and setbacks, we hope to contribute to better knowledge that in turn may facilitate an understanding of why these movements are gaining ground and how they should be met.

The second book published in the Europe Deserves Better series takes a closer look at Front National, the party that won the French elections to the European Parliament in May 2014. By describing Front National’s sordid history, past setbacks and recent achievements, the author hopes to contribute to better knowledge of the party and its sympathisers that in turn may facilitate an understanding of why this movement is gaining ground and how it should be met.

The third book published in the Europe Deserves Better series takes a closer look at the Sweden Democrats, the party that won two seats in the European Parliament in May 2014. By examining their voting record and activities in the European Parliament, the author hopes to contribute to better knowledge of the party and its policies that in turn may facilitate an understanding of why this party is gaining ground and how it should be met.
